My love of color is the essence of my art. There is
so much beauty surrounding us that it's impossible
for me not to disclose my appreciation and
admiration to our maker. A trip to the grocery store
with all its beautiful fruits and vegetables, a field of
flowers, the shapes of objects in nature and driving
over our wonderful mountains all are inspiring to me.
My silk paintings are mostly all drawn from nature.
The challenge of applying a liquid dye onto a
gleaming piece of silk and transforming it, hopefully
into an image of beauty is a source of great
excitement for me.
